This week’s Bible subject: Love

The following Bible verse opens up this message and provides the central idea, or Golden Text. The Golden Text is followed by supporting Bible verses called the Responsive Reading (also below). In the Sunday service, participants join in reading the Responsive Reading together out loud.

Golden Text | Isaiah 45:22; 66:13 (to ;)
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. . . . As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you;

Responsive Reading |Deuteronomy 32:9–12; Psalms 17:1, 5, 7–9, 15; 18:1
For the Lord’s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
Hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.
Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
